The concept was to infuse Coca-Cola’s global identity with the distinct, aromatic character of yuzu — a citrus fruit symbolic of Japanese culture. The design needed to reflect both freshness and sophistication, appealing to a new generation seeking unique, authentic flavors.
The project involved creating a premium visual identity for the limited edition: subtle yet vibrant color schemes, refined typography, and graphic accents inspired by Japanese minimalism. Packaging, promotional assets, and visual storytelling were carefully designed to celebrate the cultural roots of yuzu while keeping the brand unmistakably Coca-Cola.
The challenge was balancing Coca-Cola’s iconic branding with the need to feel genuinely local and fresh — without alienating a global audience.
By blending minimalist design principles with subtle cultural references, the Coca-Cola Yuzu edition feels both familiar and new. The result is a seamless brand extension that honors the heritage of yuzu while reinforcing Coca-Cola’s global image of refreshing innovation.
